Tommy Ward of 13 Mile Seafood welcomes us back! We love this location and we love the Panhandle people. On the water and in the tide, oyster farms are among the best kind of Outstanding in the Field dinner sites, and 13 Mile is one of the best we visit anywhere. Tommy and family have a fascinating history of bivalve farming on the Gulf Coast. They will share their story at the table, and you’ll get your fill of famously plump and increasingly rare Apalachicola oysters. This is our fourth visit to 13 Mile and our first event with Cassie and Melvin of Apalachicola’s Owl Cafe.
