Without the downtown Chicago skyline in the background, you could convince yourself you’re in the wide-open spaces of a traditional farm. Hearing the sounds of the big city while you dine between rows of peak-summer produce is part of the charm. City Farm has been converting vacant lots into urban farms for over 30 years in a system of education and advocacy that’s improving the self-sufficiency of the Chicago food community. We’re honored to work with chefs Abe Conlon and Adrienne Lo for the sixth year. Abe and Adrienne earned a James Beard award for Best Chef: Great Lakes in 2018. They will bring their creative take on Macanese cuisine – and some of the most interesting flavors of the tour – out to the field kitchen.
