In estuary talk, the salt line is where fresh and saltwater come together. It’s a place where oysters and other shellfish thrive, and it’s where you want to be. Our dinner on the wharf brings together the important players who live and work where the Potomac River meets the Chesapeake Bay. Dip your hand in the water, swish it around, splash a bit... it’s the stuff of life! We will set our table on the waterfront for dinner with Chef Kyle Bailey, a veteran of OITF dinners when he headed up the kitchen at DC’s Birch & Barley. We can’t wait to see what he’s been up to at The Salt Line. Our host fisherman & woman are Simon and Rachel Dean. They will provide fresh catch for the menu and regale us with Chesapeake Bay fish stories.
