Moon Ranch has all the surreal beauty that epitomizes Big Sur. On a bluff high above the sea, it is a clifftop tableau of undulating grassland dotted with grazing cows. The view from this dramatic site where water and cliffs collide is part of daily life for the cows that live on Moon Ranch, grazing in the fields that line the rugged coast. We’ll set our table in a field high above the fog and close enough to hear the ocean churning – and we have the perfect guest chef for this majestic location. Matt Millea is a Big Sur local who has worked in the kitchen at Post Ranch Inn and with the fabulous folks at Big Sur Bakery. He’s also worked in the field at many OITF events, as our expeditor and in the kitchen. We’re thrilled to have Matt in command here on the ocean bluffs.
