McEvoy Ranch is a delicious tradition for longtime fans of Outstanding in the Field. That tradition has included a string of extraordinarily talented San Francisco chefs, and joining that stellar list this year is Val M. Cantu of Californios.Val’s accolades include being named one of Food & Wine magazine’s Best New Chefs in 2017 and as a semi-finalist for a 2018 James Beard Award as Best Chef: West. McEvoy Ranch has many beautiful spots to place our table. Before guests take their seats, ranch scion Nion McEvoy will give us a fascinating overview of the property and tell us how the farm came to be. Our tour will include a close look at the frantaio, an enormous rotating stone mill used to process olives into olive oil.
