We see things come full circle at this event. Guest chef Karl Holl is an alum of OITF’s 2013 Tour. Karl is well integrated into the Portland food and farming scene; he farms pigs, butchers meat, forages mushrooms, and brings it all together at his private events and thriving pop-up. He’ll work his magic in the field kitchen at Soter Vineyards’ Mineral Springs Ranch, a 240-acre biodynamic vineyard in the heart of Willamette Valley wine country. The team at Soter considers farming as integral to winemaking as what happens in the cellar. Their aim is to capture the true terroir of Oregon’s finest wine region, where the Burgundian (and Champagne!) varietals of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay are king. We’ll experience it firsthand at our table set between the vines.
