Denver is hot. There is a lot going on here in the culinary realm and the whole city benefits from it. Part of the reason for the excitement is Alex Seidel, who is both a chef and a farmer. Alex purchased a 10 acre vegetable farm in 2009 to create a learning center and a sustainable relationship between farm and restaurant. Shortly after realizing the US had very few sheep dairies, he put together a team and launched a farmstead sheep’s milk operation, which now produces award-winning cheeses. Alex has been a James Beard award nominee for Best Chef: Southwest several times (including this year).
