Our unflagging effort to discover new and novel places to dine takes us to our first distillery dinner. Yes, some farms grow whiskey. J. Henry & Sons’ bourbon whiskey is made from farmer/distiller Joe Henry’s own red corn developed for the farm at the University of Wisconsin in 1939. We will drink it in the place it comes from as we admire the corn, the wheat and the rye. Beyond drink, several local farmers and a cheesemaker will contribute to the meal. Chef Dan Fox is a James Beard 2017 semi-finalist for Best Chef: Midwest. Dan last joined us down the road at Willi Lehner's Bleu Mont Dairy. We will make sure Willi brings plenty of cheese to go with the whiskey.
