Amanda Merrow and Katie Baldwin have been farming together on the east end of Long Island since 2008. In addition to growing vegetables for a 150-member CSA and some of the Hamptons’ most popular restaurants, the pair’s Amagansett Wheat Project aims to reintroduce amber waves of wheat and other small grains to Long Island. Our friend in the kitchen, Jason Weiner, is among the most popular of Outstanding in the Field guest chefs. This will be his ninth appearance.
