The Bohan Ranch sits on a coastal ridge in western Sonoma, 1,400 feet above the Pacific and just three miles away as the crow flies. This vineyard, planted in 1972 by the Bohan family, was the first in the Fort Ross-Seaview AVA (American Viticultural Area). When Jim visited to scout the site, he knew we had to bring the long table here. As we sit amidst the vines, surrounded by golden hills and a forever view of blue ocean, it’s safe to say we’ll raise a few glasses in appreciation of this gorgeous place and the fourth-generation Bohans who farm it. The Kutch family are among a small group of wineries that are lucky to source this fruit for their wines, and our glasses will be filled with their carefully crafted Pinot Noir. Guest chef Charlie Parker will cook a meal to match the wine (and the scenery!). Charlie has cooked in kitchens throughout the Bay area and did his first event with OITF in 2009. He’s appeared seven times since, including our grand dinner on Mount Tamalpais in 2017.
