From the earth to the plate. Here at Maple Rock Farm, the restaurant owns and runs the farm, and visa versa. The farm-to-table connection doesn’t get any tighter. Recognized in 2015 and 2016 and again in 2018 as a James Beard Foundation “Rising Star Chef” semi-finalist, Jay Blackinton is at home in both the field and the kitchen. The menu at Hogstone’s Wood Oven changes constantly because it’s dependent on what’s growing on the farm. There is something special about this island that we can’t quite put into words.
