Jim Denevan | Founder & CEO | Santa Cruz

Jim created Outstanding in the Field in 1999, seeking to connect people to the farmers who grow our food, and the land it comes from. Jim has also been a professional chef, model, surfer and artist; creating stunning sand drawings on a massive scale. Today Jim's art commissions take him around the world, and he in turn takes us to ever more exotic farm dinner locations. www.jimdenevan.com

Eden | General Manager | Oakland

After garnering a background in wine and culinary arts in Vermont, Eden moved to the Bay Area to further her career in high end service and restaurants. She found Outstanding in the Field in 2009 and joined the culinary circus. She has completed 3 summer tours and 4 winter tours and has done over 300 Outstanding in the Field events. She keeps the ship (or rather the bus) running straight as General Manager.

Anna | Director of Public Events | New York

The mastermind behind our schedule, Anna came to OITF in 2012 after traveling the country and the globe; working for restaurants and sustainable farms in Boston, Seattle, Austin, Spain and Ireland. Anna has been on tour twice as a crewmember and event planner, and has been our Director of Public Events since 2014.

Theresa | Operations Manager | Salt Lake City

Born and raised in Boston, Theresa graduated from Cornell Hotel School in 2010, and joined the Outstanding in the Field tour in 2015 as our Front of House Manager. Now, in addition to being an event planner, Theresa handles our day-to-day operations, making sure our staff are trained and have a place to sleep at night.

Seth | Executive Assistant | Santa Cruz

After studying at the French Culinary Institute, Seth worked for our friends at Bonny Doon Vineyard before coming on tour with OITF for the first time in 2014. In addition to being a three-time tour crew veteran, Seth also handles our social media accounts and moonlights as Jim’s art assistant.

Maren | Web Design and IT | San Francisco

The driving force behind keeping the website up and running, Maren has been consulting for OITF since 2016. While her late nights are spent in front of a computer, instead of on the bus, her work makes sure our face to the world is as amazing as our events.
