We love it here! This is what the locals like to call Old Florida. Stock Island is the laid-back, second-to-last island before you get to Key West, and it seems we discovered it around the same time that Afar and a bunch of other travel magazines did, too. Our good friends and hosts, Bobby and Michelle, attended an Outstanding event in Bermuda a few years ago and suggested we come out to the Florida Keys. Bobby and Michelle run Hogfish and Roostica, and they painted us quite a picture, so we made our way south to set the table. For all gathered on that day last January, the real thing far exceeded Bobby and Michelle's considerable powers of description. The event begins with a reception at the Stock Island Lobster Company, where we'll hear from 7th generation Lobsterman Peter Bacle. Guests will then travel a short distance by shuttle to the Historic Bama Shrimp Dock on Stock Island where our table awaits.
